Penske Truck Leasing Expands San Leandro, Calif. Facility

READING, Pa., November 14, 2007 - Today, Penske Truck Leasing celebrated the grand reopening of an existing facility in San Leandro, Calif., located on 10755 Bigge St. The Penske-owned two-story building received a $1-million facelift, highlighted by a 1,600 square-foot addition that includes a new consumer rental counter, cozy driver lounge, and increased office space.

The 17,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility, employing 45 associates, offers commercial and consumer truck rental services, full-service truck leasing and contract maintenance. About 100 leasing customers are serviced from this six-acre location and nearly 1,000 vehicles are maintained on-site.

The structure now incorporates Penske Truck Leasing's new facility design elements, features state-of-the-art technology and is designed to enhance the customer experience. Penske continues its expansion efforts across North America. A new wireless technology component allows Penske service technicians to integrate various vehicle diagnostic and repair software. To save energy, GE fluorescent light bulbs with electronic ballasts using 50 percent less energy have been installed in the addition.

The facility has 10 service bays, and a four-lane fuel island with high-speed fuel pumps for fast, efficient service.

The rental department is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The service department is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
